BCA Shuttle Ministry

We need your help to keep our parking lot open for guests!  Our goal is to have 100 families commit to helping us in this endeavor by parking in the PUD parking lot, located on the corner of California Street and Virginia Avenue.  Shuttles will be running between the PUD lot and the church for continuous pick-up and drop-off from 7:15 - 9:15 AM, 10:00 - 10:45 AM, and 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM.  Drivers may find it easier to drop off their families at the front doors before going over to the PUD parking lot.  If you need to stay later after church, you can ride the shuttle back to the PUD lot directly after church, and bring your car back.  As an extra incentive, each driver using the shuttle will receive a coupon for a free drink of their choice (16 oz. size) from the Cedar Street Espresso Stand, located in the foyer outside the Activity Center.

TrueLife Student Ministries Information

New Student Center!

Come visit our new student center, "The Attic":  Bringing vision to LIFE!  The Attic is an open space on top of BCA, right below the roof, allowing students to have fun, interact with others, and discover the truth for their lives!

At TrueLife, we exist to bring truth to this generation.  We want to create an environment where relationships are built.

Students coming to the Attic find a positive atmosphere with other students, and find a place where they can come, meet new friends, get some great food, and experience God through the truth of His Word.  We want the Attic to be a place where students can be authentic, and experience Christ-like love.

The Attic will be a tool for TrueLife to reach out to more students because of its inviting atmosphere, food and fun, and to also be a great place to meet, and establish and grow relationships with their peers.

Ephesians is a letter of encouragement.  In it Paul describes the nature and appearance of the church, and he challenges believers to function as the living body of Christ on earth.  It is broken up into the main sections:  Unity in Christ (1:1 - 3:21) and Unity in the Body of Christ - The Church (4:1 - 6:24).  In this class we use the Inductive Bible Study approach because inductive reasoning is consistent with the way in which we normally solve problems and study new ideas.  Application is the goal of our study in Ephesians as this is where principles are found that affect our behavior as a Christian by the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.  Participation and note taking are encouraged.  Questions and open discussion are welcome.  Bible reading is encouraged.  Food and fellowship precedes class.  There is open concern for classmates, prayer for needs, and praise for answers.  This is a class that helps support one another like family.

Compassion Ministries

Compassion Ministries Outreach Dinners

We are pleased to announce that our Compassion Dinner Outreach has relocated to the Everett Gospel Mission (EGM).  We will be able to minister to approximately twice the usual number of people as we use the EGM's facility each Sunday.  Our pastors are taking turns to lead a full service from 11:30AM until noon with preaching, praying, singing, and a meal.  We are excited to serve more people, and we need your help!  Please email Craig Thompson, if you would like to join our team of servers and ministers once a month or more.

Compassion Ministries Needs Your Help!

The cupboards are nearly bare at our Compassion Food Pantry, and we need your help filling it up again.  Here are some suggestions for the items needed:  Flour, Dry Milk, Cereal, Peanut Butter, Rice, Canned Meat, Canned Fruit, Toiletries, Sugar, Ramen, Crackers, Jelly, Macaroni and Cheese, Canned Vegetables, Canned Soups, and Laundry Soap.  Can you add one or more of these items to your regular grocery list and bring it with you to church next week?  Thank you so much for your help in assisting our community!

Pre-Marital Counseling

The typical marriage of today requires that couples have very strong, well established abilities to communicate, resolve issues, maintain mutuality and set goals.  Research shows that relational based pre-marriage education can reduce the risk of divorce by up to thirty percent and lead to a significantly happier marriage.  Compassion Everett Counseling Center of BCA offers a 4 week package at a reduced price where couples can choose from 10 different pre-marital topics based upon their needs and interests.  For more information, pick up a pamphlet at the information booth or contact one of the counselors on staff through Pastor Chuck Kinman 425.339.3303, extension 106.

Man to Man

Host:  Duane Cohrs

Dates:  Wednesdays

Time:  7 - 8:30 PM

Cost:  Free

Location:  Room 201

Description:  The Question of Human Suffering: A Biblical Perspective:  Come join us for Man to Man as we study "The Question of Human Suffering:  A Biblical Perspective."  As believers, we are certainly aware of the suffering that Jesus endured for us over 2000 years ago.  Indeed, it is through His suffering that we can find forgiveness and grace in the present.  But what about the times of suffering that believers experience here and now?  Is there some type of correlation between Jesus' suffering and our own, or some kind of inherent value that lies within our experience of it?  Can it result in some type of benefit within the lives of other people?  Or is it something for which we simply have no control, and for which there are simply no answers?  These are some of the questions we will be asking over the next few weeks as we seek to gain a biblical understanding of what Scripture actually says along these lines.  As we delve into the Word together, we trust that each of us might come away strengthened, encouraged, and better equipped to deal with suffering in those times when it does come our way.

DivorceCare

DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences.  Don't go through separation or divorce alone.  DivorceCare is led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help.  Groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.  Each DivorceCare session has two distinct elements:

1.  A Seminar with Experts:  During the first 30-40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts in divorce and recovery subjects.  These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video.

2.  Support Group with Focus:  After viewing the video, DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week's video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members.

We look forward to offering DivorceCare in the future.  Please keep watch for dates and location soon!
