Our Business
We are in the people development business (Eph. 4:1-16).
Our Product
Transformed Lives/Fully Devoted Followers
Theme: "Building People, Transforming Lives"
Our Purpose/Mission
The Purpose and Mission of BCA is to turn unbelieving people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ by passionately fulfilling the Great Commission and personally
keeping the Great Commandment. We believe that a Great Commitment to the Great Commission and the Great Commandment will Grow a Great Church and Great
Christians. Our aim at BCA is...
The Great Commandment: "Jesus said: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...and mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.'" Matthew 22.36-40
The Great Commission: "Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.'" Matthew 28.19-20
The 5-Fold mandate of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ is to:
We Purpose To Make Disciples of Christ
Our Vision
To make, mature and mobilize more disciples in ministry, mission and magnification.
Our Core Values
We have seven core values at BCA that reflect our ministry beliefs:
Behavioral Preaching & Teaching
(Transformation-changed lives)
We value the relevance of God's Word to transform our beliefs and behavior.
James 1.22 -- Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
2 Peter 1:3-10 - His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
Empowered Ministry
(Every Member A Minister)
We value working together with a diverse team and the unique gifts of all members who serve Christ as one.
Romans 12:5-6 -- So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift if prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.
I Peter 4:10,11-Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If any speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Target the Unreached
(Lost people matter to God)
We value a total commitment to reach unbelievers through our various groups, services, ministries, webs of influence (friendship evangelism) and a local and global outreach priority.
1 Corinthians 9:22-23 -- Whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground to him so he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him. I do this to get the Gospel to them...
Colossians 4.5 -- Be wise in the way you act toward unbelievers.
Holistic Small Groups
(Build Community)
We value building community through small groups that develop loving relationships and godly fellowship.
Acts 5:42 -- Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.
John 15:12-My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
Romans 15.7 -- Accept one another, then just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
Authentic Leadership
(Character counts)
We value leaders who strive for integrity and character not only in ministry but also personally.
Hebrews 13:7 -- Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Psalm 78:72-And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.
Need-Oriented Evangelism
(Find a need and meet it)
We value showing the love of Christ through mercy ministries, people helping, and compassion.
James 1:27-Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Matthew 25:40--...whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
Matt 9:36-When He saw the crowds He had compassion on them...
Your Family in Focus
(Multi-generational ministry)
We value equipping and discipling children, youth, and adults in the Christian
faith--helping them develop a healthy Scriptural view of God and themselves--and encouraging their full followership of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 4.13-15 -- ...Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants... we will, in all things, grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
Colossians 1:28 - We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
