Prayer turns problems into possibilities 

1. Don’t underestimate the situation -- pray! ( v. 1-4)  

A. We are in a war (vs. 1-2).
B. Do what the king did (v.3): 
• “Alarmed”
• “Resolved to inquire”
• “Proclaimed a fast”
C. What to do when the odds are against you:
Pray (v.4) 

2. In the middle of your situation, practice two faith builders (v.6-9): 

A. Vocalize your adoration (vs. 6-7)
B. Verbalize your dependence (vs. 8-9) 

3. Do what you must do when you don’t know what to do. (vs. 10-12) 

A. Life can be confusing . (vs. 10-11)
B. We can feel powerless. (v.12)
C. But God is mighty and powerful. (v. 12) 

4. Stand on God’s promises. (vs. 13-17) 

5. Understand that prayer is the battle. 
(vs.18-19)

2. PRAY DAILY FOR YOUR NEED, OTHERS, AND BCA
3. ATTEND PRAYER AND VISION NIGHTS - April 18 & May 16
4. FAST - ONE MEAL, ONE DAY, ONE WEEK 
5. PARTICIPATE IN DAYS OF PRAYER IN CHAPEL. 
April 21, 28, May 5,12,19 & 26
6. JOIN FOR NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER - May 6
7. ATTEND PRAYER VIGIL -May 22
8. PRAY FOR BCA IN YOUR SMALL GROUP & CLASSES 

6. Realize that sincere praise and worship brings healing & deliverance. (vs.20-28) 

7. Know that the product of prayer is peace. (vs. 29-30)

Small Group Discussion Questions: 

1. How has God helped you in the past?
2. Review the points and Bible verses from this lesson. 
   What personal application can you make from this week's teaching? 
3. How do you “keep encouraged” and pray “through” your problems?
4. Take some time right now to pray for the needs of those in your small group.
