TWO DIFFERENT ROADS

1 Corinthians 15:45,47--So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being" the last Adam, a lifegiving spirit. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven.

2 different masculinities: Adam and Christ

2 different ways of life leading to 2 different destinies:
· The first Adam represents life separated from God.
· The second Adam represents life in union with God.

A KNIGHT'S CODE OF CONDUCT

A Medieval knight was...
    expected to be loyal.
expected to conduct himself like a champion.
charged to win the love of women.
    required to practice generousity.

A Modern-Day Knight must also be trained in a code of conduct.

1. A Will To Obey

10 Biblical Ideals—
1. Loyalty—Hos.6:6
2. Servant-Leadership—Matt. 20:26-27
3. Kindness—Prov. 19:22
4. Humility—Phil. 2:3
5. Purity—I Timothy 4:12
6. Honesty—Eph. 4:25
7. Self-discipline—I Timothy 4:7,8
8. Excellence—I Cor. 9:24
9. Integrity—Prov. 10:9
10. Perseverance—Gal. 6:9

2. A Work to Do

3. A Woman to Love

Ephesians 5:25-30--And you husbands must love your wives with the same love Christ showed the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by baptism and God's word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man is actually loving himself when he loves his wife. No one hates his own body but lovingly cares for it, just as Christ cares for his body, which is the church. And we are his body.
