Where are you Headed in 2005?"

Acts 2:42-47

Acts 2:42--They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.


1. Study the travel plan:  Value God's wisdom over your own. 

• God’s Word is God's Wisdom.

• God knows what’s best.

• Their focus then, should be our focus now.

I Cor. 11:2--I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the teachings, just as I passed them on to you.

I Thess. 2:13--And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe. (See also: 2 Thess. 2:15; 2 Thess. 3:6)

• Prioritize God’s Word.

• Apply God’s Word: It is relevant and practical.

• New Year’s Devotion.

2. Don’t jump the track: Live out God’s purposes.

• God has given us a rail to run on.

• Key: It's not about us.

Fellowship:
Together
• Principle of Together—Sabbath 
Exodus 20:8--"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.”

• Power of Together
Hebrews 10:25--Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

House to House (Acts 2:46; Acts 5:42; Acts 20:20)

Why Small Groups? 
• God’s plan 
• Jesus’ prayer
• Man’s priviledge
• Heaven’s applause

3. Look To The Conductor: Make Jesus the center of your life.

4. Respect Your Refueling Schedule: Plug into the power source.

What personal application can you make from this week's teaching? 

3. How does it make you feel to know God wants to advance you spiritually this New Year?

4. Take some time right now to pray for the needs of those in your small group.
