HOW DO YOU VIEW GOD?
1. Do you trust Him?
Psalm
89:1,2--I will sing of the LORD's great love forever; with my mouth I will make
your faithfulness known through all generations.
I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you established your
faithfulness in heaven itself.
2. Do you know Him?
Psalm 55:1, 16, 22, 23--Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea... But I call to God, and the LORD saves me... Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall... But as for me, I trust in you...
3. Do you adore Him?
Adore = Worship; to regard with loving admiration
The Splendor of God is beyond words:
Psalm 145:1-7; 1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 1:17,18
God is incomprehensible to the human mind:
God is infinite.
God is self-existent.
God is eternal.
God is self-sufficient.
"The low view of God entertained almost
universally among Christians is the cause of a hundred lesser evils everywhere
among us. With our loss of the sense of majesty has come the further loss of
religious awe and the consciousness of the divine presence… It
is impossible to keep our moral practices sound and our inward attitudes right
while our idea of God is erroneous or inadequate. It we would bring back
spiritual power to our lives, we must begin to think of God more nearly as He
is."
